Configuring your DealerTrack DMS Session ID

If you are having trouble printing through Dealertrack, please see the following instructions for configuring your session ID in Dealertrack DMS


Upon logging in successfully to the Dealertrack DMS, on the home screen you will see a button on the bottom labeled "Session ID"




When you click the "Session ID" button, you will be presented with a dialogue box that appears with three main options of the following:
  1. System Generated DefaultThis typically is not used and will likely cause issues printing. 
  2. Previously Used Session ID - If you have printed through the DMS before and are facing issues printing now, please check this option if you see your department Session ID present in the dropdown.
  3. Manually Create Session ID - If you do not see your Session ID in Previously Used or are performing a first time setup, please select this option and enter your department Session ID.




If you are unsure of what Session ID you need to use or are facing other issues, please submit a HelpDesk ticket and we will be happy to assist you.
 

When you have selected the applicable option in the dialogue box, click the "Login" button on the bottom right.
 




You should now be able to print successfully!
